A Slow Day In Salthill

We slept in after our late night at "Trad on the Prom" and it was just as well since it was a rainy morning with cool, gusty winds. So, we just got a few things organized around the apartment and then sorted out about 550 photos that we've taken thus far. (We promise to spare you from viewing all those.)

The little Grattan Beach in front of our apartment had plenty of white caps:

Galway Bay didn't look much better, so we scratched plans to look into taking the tour boat out to the Aran Islands since we both get motion sickness quite easily.

Downtown Galway City---Erye Square---didn't seem like a good idea either with all the rain.

So, when the rain let up in the afternoon all we managed to do was to get a few groceries and have our meal of the day at DaRoberta's---and finally remembered to take a photo of our two garlic breads and a Magherita pizza.

And then we got back to the apartment in time to watch another qualifying round of Irish football (soccer) as they played Montenegro in another qualifying round for the World Cup in 2010.

[So, we'd say we were wise to stay out of the rain and hope you will do the same if it happens to be raining back there where we "Left You Behind In America."]
